FREQUENCY INVERTER: THE MASTER OF CONVERSION

Whether pumps, fans or compressors - with frequency inverters, your electric motor runs exactly as required. This saves energy, cuts costs and reduces power consumption by up to 70 %. The motor starts smoothly, operates quietly and wears less, while at the same time improving your carbon footprint. For industry, production or building technology: frequency inverters make your systems more efficient and reliable.

SIMPLE ASSEMBLY
We supply you with decentralized frequency inverters up to a drive power of 22 kW. With these models, the inverter can be attached directly to the respective motor.

  • ADVANTAGES
  • WHAT A FREQUENCY INVERTER OFFERS YOU

Frequency inverters save energy and reduce wear. They extend the service life of motors and offer integrated protection - all without additional effort. Adjustments? At any time during operation.

    Increased energy efficiency

Thanks to the infinitely variable speed control, the power of the motor is adapted precisely to the demand. This saves energy and avoids losses that would be caused by friction with fixed gear ratios.

    Intelligent decentralized process control

Frequency inverters enable decentralized control directly on the motor, which often makes central control cabinets superfluous. This saves space and reduces installation and manufacturing costs.

    Energy-efficient motor start

The soft start reduces the so-called slip, keeps the torque constant and thus ensures precise, demand-oriented speed control with high accuracy.

    Longer service life

A smooth motor start minimizes mechanical stresses such as shock loads or starting currents. This reduces wear and extends the service life of the motor and the connected systems.

    Protection, monitoring & diagnostic function

Frequency inverters monitor operation, provide protection against overload or faults and carry out diagnostics. Additional systems are therefore usually not required.

    Needs-based adaptation

Frequency and speed can be flexibly adjusted at any time - even during operation. This ensures constant efficiency and optimum performance for changing requirements.

  • PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

  • VENTILATION EFFICIENTLY CONTROLLED

    Initial situation:
In an office building, small ventilation motors (1.5-3 kW) were constantly running at full speed - regardless of how much air was actually needed. This cost unnecessary energy, caused noise and accelerated wear and tear.

    Solution:
By using frequency inverters, the speed of the motors automatically adjusted to the demand. They ran efficiently during the day, but the power was reduced at night or when utilisation was low.

    The result:

  • Up to 50% less energy consumption thanks to demand-led control
  • Quiet operation for more comfort in the office
  • Longer service life thanks to smooth start-ups and less wear and tear
  • Better air quality thanks to optimised performance depending on room usage

  • PRECISE RESULTS
  • TESTING STAND: BECAUSE WE WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY

AC has the technology to carry out power measurements on motors up to 55 kW and 9,000 rpm. In addition to measuring efficiency, individual load points can also be simulated. This allows risks to be identified more precisely and engines to be optimised with pinpoint accuracy.

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT FREQUENCY INVERTERS

Would you like to find out more about the use, selection or benefits of frequency inverters? Here you will find clear answers to some important questions. If you would like to know more, we will be happy to help you personally at any time.

Further questions? We are happy to help!

A frequency inverter controls the speed of an electric motor by flexibly adjusting the frequency and voltage. It converts the mains voltage into DC voltage and then back into AC voltage. This allows the motor to be controlled continuously - efficiently, precisely and as required.

Frequency inverters are used wherever motors need to be controlled flexibly. Typical applications include pumps, fans and conveyor belts, but they also ensure more efficient and reliable processes in building technology and industry.

The service life depends on use and maintenance. Under optimal conditions, a frequency inverter can operate reliably for 10-15 years or longer. Regular inspections and good cooling help to further extend the service life.

Frequent causes of damage are overvoltages caused by lightning strikes, voltage peaks or faulty installations. Overloading or inadequate cooling can also lead to failures. Regular maintenance helps to avoid such problems.

The choice depends on the power supply (230 V or 400 V), the motor power and the operating conditions. Factors such as ambient temperature or protection class also play a role. We will be happy to help you find the right solution.
